A quick note on the legal side: once finalized, this plan is put into effect through a City process called a zoning change — the legal step that actually allows the new housing, businesses, and public space improvements described in the plan to happen.

South Broadway, Section by Section

The corridor runs about a mile and a half, from Park Hill Avenue down to the Bronx line. Here's how we're getting to know each part of it.

Vark St. to Bright Place

North Gateway

The northern entrance to the corridor, closest to Downtown Yonkers and St. Joseph's Medical Center.

Bright Place to Radford St., and Morris St. to Caryl Ave.

South Broadway Main Street

The heart of the corridor — home to most of the local shops, restaurants, and family-run businesses.

Ludlow St. to Morris St.

Ludlow Station Area

Closest to the Ludlow Metro-North station, with some of the taller buildings on the corridor.

Near Caryl Ave.

South Gateway

The southern entrance to South Broadway, right where Yonkers meets New York City.

These sections just help us study the corridor and organize feedback — they're a planning tool, not new rules for any block.
